What people say...
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2012. I consulted a homeopath who gave me homeopathic remedies to help with the side-effects of the surgery and radiotherapy (I declined chemotherapy) and the Nelson’s burn cream to prevent blistering. The nurses in the radiology department said my skin would blister and gave me dressings which proved unnecessary. I continue to take homeopathic remedies around the time of my annual mammagram.
I have to take traditional (non-homeopathic) hormonal tablets, which carry a risk of weakening my bones, so I take Calichew tablets as well. I also take a homeopathic bone remedy. I have had two bone density scans – one shortly after starting the tablets (which showed my bones to be strong) and the second one two years later. This showed my bones to be even better despite the hormonal tablets.
I cannot speak highly enough of the homeopathic treatment that I have received and the kindness and efficiency of the practitioners. I moved areas a year after my diagnosis and I will be reaching the fourth anniversary of this diagnosis later this year, in July 2016.
Since becoming a “guinea pig” with Sue on her hayfever study in 2012 and this year, I must tell you that I am so pleased that my severe symptoms have been dramatically reduced.
I have suffered from hayfever for all of my adult life and sometimes was so badly affected to the point that I used to feel ill. Sue and her homeopathy have been brilliant for me and I am coping with it through homeopathic remedies and not the standard antihistamines that I used to take. That is a terrific benefit.
I highly recommend Sue as a professional health practitioner in homeopathy. She treated me pre and post-op, and has also treated my 11-year-old son. Her approach is patient and caring, she takes time to understand the whole person and treat accordingly. I felt safe and confident in Sue's knowledge and experience, my recovery was less stressful and my healing happened earlier than when I previously had a similar operation. My son also benefited greatly from being treated by Sue, which helped the whole family.
Sue has been helping me for a good few years now on various matters.
She is always ready to listen, observe and ask sometimes "odd" questions which put things into place for her. She is honest, capable and very professional in her approach to any condition/ailment.
I have had allergy testing at her clinic, which brought to light one or two issues. I am pleased to say I can now eat peanuts and bread without any unwelcome bodily reactions.
Presently she is helping me with my menopause and all its glory – hot sweats, sleepless nights, bloating, sadness and low moments, problems with getting old etc. She is always on hand with her books ready to find just the right remedy.
I have had sport-related lower back problems which we have worked on for a while – and with the help of one or two different remedies we are now keeping it at bay. I have suffered with dermatitis/eczema scalp problems for a number of years and can now say that with the help of homeopathic treatment this has largely been eradicated (alongside the introduction of Vitamin B Complex).
I have no hesitation in recommending Sue and her practice of homoeopathy in being anything other than "wonderful".
I suffered from headaches for a number of years and went to Sue Leach to see if should could identify the cause of the headaches and suggest some form of remedy. During the assessment Sue found I had an intolerance to wheat. Since then I have cut down on the amount of bread I eat and my headaches have reduced by 90%. A big thank you to Sue and her homeopathy practice.
I saw a quote on Facebook recently; “Why do they call it ‘alternative medicine’ when it is the ‘original medicine’ that humans have been using for thousands of years. Chemical medications were discovered about 100 years ago!”
Now I can’t vouch for the accuracy of this statement but ‘alternative’ medicine worked for my son when he was treated by Sue for verrucas. After two years of attending monthly verruca clinics at our local doctor’s surgery and the veruccas spreading I took James to see Sue. After one consultation and a dose of homeopathic pills James has never had a verucca since.
Thank you, Sue, for your professionalism in managing this issue quickly and effectively.
I first met Sue Leach at Boldre Homeopathic Practice in 2012 – she was my last hope of ever feeling well again. I had spent nearly a whole year having various tests at different hospitals to find out why I had this awful tiredness and feeling so weak. It started after I broke my leg in 2010 and I had lots of infections in the wound for which I had to take a lot of antibiotics. Not long after the last operation on the leg the awful tiredness started and it had got to the point that some days I couldn’t get out of bed. After a whole year of back and forward seeing different doctors at the hospitals I was told I had ME and just to rest, that it might get better in time. This was not what I wanted to hear and it was no help to me. Back to my very sympathetic GP, we chatted, he then asked had I thought of alternative therapy, “Homeopathic Practice” might be able to help me. No, I hadn’t but at the time I was willing to try anything just to feel normal again. So I met Sue and she has changed my life completely. The remedies she gave me were not an overnight fix but over the weeks I could feel the change. My family was the first to notice I had a little more energy, not spending so much time in bed and sitting around. Over a period of time with regular appointments I was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel with that problem – just chatting to Sue, her sympathy and understanding of how I was feeling also helped. Having had high blood pressure for a number of years, Sue also said she could help with that. We are back to normal readings and no more blood pressure tablets – once again it took a few months but the results have been wonderful. Sue, with my agreement, has corresponded with my GP the whole time – he knows what I’m taking and he can also see the difference in me. Sue will always be my first call if I’m not feeling good to see if she can help: she will tell me if she feels I should see my own doctor, or it’s something she can help with. She is a very honest, caring person – I just wish I had found her in the beginning, it would have saved me the stress of not knowing what was going on in my body. I have and will continue to recommend homeopathic therapy to anyone who will listen. I have proved that it can help and make a difference to your life. It has mine.
I wanted to add my comment to praising Sue Leach's homeopathic practice. I have found her very sympathetic in treating me, firstly for a persistent cough which with time disappeared and recently I have visited her for high blood pressure which has come down since my first visit a month ago and I have faith that, with following her guidance and my own attitude, it will come down further together with two homeopathic treatments that she has given me.
I find her a very sympathetic person who does not offer a certain in cure but I am convinced that her methods have helped me. Obviously it is necessary to consult a doctor as well and this she fully supports.
My first consultation with Sue took place at her beautiful consulting rooms in the New Forest. Having always been reluctant to discuss health issues and never having been a “pill popper” I was amazed how comfortable I felt in Sue’s environment and how as the consultation progressed my confidence grew in her knowledge and professionalism.
Having researched homeopathy I knew how much commitment, dedication and time it takes to qualify.
At Boldre Homeopathic Practice you are treated as an individual and great care is taken throughout the initial consultation to find out about the ailment and more importantly about you and your “make-up”. This enables Sue to consider the “whole” person and not just the symptoms.
The skin condition which has been prevalent throughout my childhood and many years of my adult life is now controlled without the use of harmful chemicals. I understand more of the messages the body sends out when it is “out of kilter”.
I have not hesitated to contact Sue on 3 subsequent occasions (2 for myself and one for my adult son). Each time her response and advice have been thorough, prompt and produced remarkable and longlasting results. I would have no hesitation in recommending her services to anyone seeking an alternative approach to their illness or ailments – the results are liberating both physically and emotionally.
I took my daughter (3.5 years old at the time) to see Sue as she constantly had runny noses and colds that turned into nasty bronchial chest infections requiring antibiotics. The doctor was unable to offer me any preventive advice or treatment and could only offer antibiotics when it got really bad. I wanted to build up my daughter's immune system so that we were not getting into a situation where she was really ill – to the extent of hospitalisation on one occasion, and struggling to sleep.
Sue took a detailed case history and offered my daughter homeopathic remedies which she took every day for the following month. We went back each month for a few months and Sue took further information from me and adjusted the remedies accordingly. A year after the initial appointment we went back for a review appointment. By this point my daughter rarely got colds and in fact she is one of the healthiest 4.5-year-olds I know.
The work Sue did on her immune system has had lasting benefits. Even my partner who was very sceptical about the benefits of homeopathy prior to this treatment is thrilled and is going to make an appointment with her for a serious problem he has.
I have also been working with Sue as I have ME and, although I use diet and lifestyle to manage it, I still have occasional relapses. Sue offered treatment and one of the things I like best about the way she works is that she does it holistically. Her treatments have had lasting benefits some months after treatment has been stopped.
I have known Sue Leach for a number of years now and she has treated me and my family for various ailments. Last year my youngest son came down with a horrible virus – his temperature sky-rocketed and he was unable to keep even water down. Our local doctor's surgery advised that it was a nasty virus that was doing the rounds and that my son would just have to "wait it out". I sent a text to Sue, even though by now it was after hours, and I told her about my son. Sue got me the remedies right away. My son immediately took the remedy and within 24 hours his temperature had returned to normal and had stopped being sick.
He was still not well, however, and so he continued to take the remedy for a few more days. Although his temperature had returned to normal and he was no longer being sick, he was unable to eat properly for about two weeks, existing on nothing more substantial than chicken noodle soup and dry crackers, and was very lethargic. I again contacted Sue and she gave us another remedy to help my son regain his appetite and energy.
I have absolutely no doubts whatsoever when it comes to homeopathic remedies, and no doubts either when it comes to Sue's methods and recommendations.
Last year I developed an allergic reaction to mould spores during the harvest of 2012. I had itchy eyes, sneezing and runny nose. I contacted Sue Leach for a homeopathic remedy and I am pleased to say it worked.
In April 2013 I contacted Sue again for a preventive homeopathic remedy for mould spores to protect me this year. She got me the appropriate remedies quickly. And it worked – I had no reoccurrence during this year’s harvest.
I highly recommend Sue Leach for her expertise and in my opinion she is a first-class homeopath.
I have used homeopathy to help me cope with the different reactions to the medication I have experienced while trying to cope with my various medical difficulties. I have found Boldre Homeopathic Practice very supportive in these endeavours and would be put in a difficult position if Sue Leach was no longer able to support me.
I had suffered what was diagnosed as irritable bowel syndrome since being a child. I heard about Sue through some people who had seen her previously so I decided to go. After only 3 sessions with her my stomach issues had gone and have not returned since.
I have found Sue to be an insightful, integral, empathetic and extremely talented homeopath and have since referred many people her way. I continue to use her services for any issue I feel I would rather take a holistic and natural route to solve.
Talks & workshops
I hold regular talks at Boldre Homeopathic Practice teaching how to use homeopathy at home. Helping people learn more about homeopathy is a key part of my practice – a part I particularly enjoy. If you have a group of friends who might be interested, do give me a call.
